Editorial Consulting

Start-ups, redesigns and other big magazine and book projects are among Margaret’s favorite editorial challenges. She excels at taking publications from big ideas to finished products.

She is the new executive editor of the Club Managers Association of America’s bimonthly Club Management magazine and the senior editor of the Design-Build Institute of America’s new quarterly Integration Quarterly (IQ) magazine.

As an editorial consultant, Margaret was part of a team that developed a new line of custom and Quest travel guides for GeoNova (formerly MapQuest Publishing). These include BargainQuest, a guide to 1,465 flea markets in the U.S.

In December 2004, 75 million racing fans were delighted to discover Mobil Travel Guide: NASCAR Travel Planner, an officially-licensed guide to the 30 cities with NASCAR-sanctioned tracks in the U.S. and Mexico. As the former executive editor of Mobil Travel Guide, Margaret developed the 512-page, full-color book in less than five months.

Margaret was editor of the 2006 edition of Chicago SHOPS, Chicago magazine’s annual bible to the city’s best shopping.
