Frequent Smoky Mountain-goers can get jaded about the gateway communities to the national park. They’ve been to the dinner shows. They’ve seen the Guinness World Record breakers. They’ve eaten the pancakes. Because tiny Chestnut Hill, Tennessee, is a little off the beaten path, about 25 miles northeast of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, it’s often overlooked as a scenic gateway to the Smokies.
