Introduction

For more than two decades Margaret Littman has been lucky enough to be paid to explore eclectic topics from diseases misdiagnosed in women to NASCAR hot spots to the market for Frank Lloyd Wright ephemera. A prolific freelance writer and editor, she has covered health, pet-friendly travel, gardening, business and everything in between for publications ranging from Woman’s Day to Entertainment Weekly to Crain’s Chicago Business to Alabama Living.

A native of Boise, Idaho, she now splits her time between Nashville, Tenn.; Chicago; Gulf Shores, Ala.; and wherever else her assignments take her. Favorite domestic destinations include Detroit and Palm Springs, Calif. She’ll never pass up a chance to go to Buenos Aires or Copenhagen.
